HOW TO ORDER CRAFT TRAINING MATERIALS

NCCER's Contren curricula are currently available in three formats: Perfect-Bound Textbooks (paperbacks), Binders (3-ring binders with modules), and Individual Modules. Both perfect-bound textbooks and binders include all modules for a specific level of a specific craft area packaged together for one price. All three formats are ordered through and fulfilled by Prentice Hall. Please note, however, that some crafts are not available in all three formats and full-color books are provided as loose-leaf rather than binder packages.

To place an order, please call 1-800-922-0579 or use the online ordering form. For more information about setting up an account and placing orders, click here.

ABOUT LEVEL ONE MANUALS AND THE CORE CURRICULUM
The Core Curriculum provides an introduction to construction and maintenance skills for all crafts. It consists of six modules: Basic Safety, Introduction to Construction Math, Introduction to Hand Tools, Introduction to Power Tools, Introduction to Blueprints, and Basic Rigging.

Trainees progressing through an NCCER-accredited program must successfully complete the Core Curriculum in order to receive Level One and Craft Completion Certificates for all standardized crafts.

The Core Curriculum is an integral part of the Level One manuals of the following standardized craft areas:

Core is available in both perfect-bound and loose-leaf versions (without the binder) for $35 each. Binders may be purchased separately for $5 each. All prices listed in this catalog are accurate as of April 2002 but are subject to change without notice.

Please note that the intended training outlines for each craft area (especially for apprenticeship programs) require training with the Core Curriculum as well as with the complete set of Level One modules.

ORDERING INDIVIDUAL MODULES:
The component modules for each craft area are listed beginning in the online catalog with their full title (beginning with the module number), suggested training hours, a brief description, and the ISBN and price for each module if ordering individually. Note that module prices vary and all prices are subject to change without notice.
