Chapter 5 - Constructivist-Based Pedagogical Models

Additional Scenarios to Explore

Use these scenarios to design your own solutions. Read the scenario description, then select a pedagogical model from Chapter 5 that you think represents a "best fit" for the instructional problem. Print the Solution Design Form (Adobe Reader Required) provided and articulate your reasons for selecting the model you chose for the scenario from the Additional Scenarios to Explore table. Identify specific learning activities or pedagogical features you would include in the learning environment and relate these features to characteristics of your selected pedagogical model. Include a list of learning technologies your solution would employ.

You are encouraged to share your design with your classmates. Find out which pedagogical models they selected and why they chose them. By critiquing the strengths and weaknesses of each design, you will become more fluent in your application of the respective pedagogical models in an online learning environment. Save your solution designs. You'll use them in the learning activities for Chapter 6.
