Chapter 5 - Constructivist-Based Pedagogical Models

Scenarios with Solution Examples

These scenarios with solution examples describe situations that an instructional desginer might encounter. They are grouped by context into higher education, professional/corporate, or K-12 environments. Each includes a web-based prototype learning environment designed as a solution example for that scenario. The prototypes represent a variety of pedagogical models, such as situated learning, cognitive apprenticeships, and problem-based learning.

Print a copy of the Prototype Review Form (Adobe Reader required) to help you analyze how a prototype implements a given pedagogical model. Then select a scenario of interest from the Scenarios with Solution Examples table, and fill the Review Form out as you examine each prototype.
