Chapter 12. Study Exercises: Answers

Question 1. Identify the destinations associated with each of the following navigation types:

Recent

Recent navigation is associated with two destinations: Go Back and List Recent Pages.

Selecting Go Back sends the users back one Page in the current framework.

Selecting List Recent Pages produces a dialog box that can be used to return to Pages the user has already examined.

Nearby

Question 2. Explain the difference between Jump to page and Call and return navigation.

Jump to page navigation re-directs a journey like a branch in a river re-directs its flow. It sends the user to a framework page in a framework. From there the lesson logic is determined by the sequence of icons on the flow line that follow the framework. In contrast, Call and return is like a day-trip. The user is sent to a framework page, but as soon as the user exits the framework (enouunters an Exit framework button), the lesson flow reverts to the original framework.
