This Jan. 4, 1999 issue contains an article summarizing results of an InformationWeek survey about the outlook for information systems departments in 1999 and discussing topics such as IT budgets and impacts of Y2K work. Another article Is called "Web Commerce: E-Business Work Starts."

Questions:

  2. Use examples to explain whether Y2K work is preventing other projects that might be more directly related to corporate strategies.

  3. After reading "Web Commerce: E-Business Work Starts" summarize the current status of many companies and explain the ecommerce challenges their IT groups face in 1999.
