Novell unveils "Digitalme"

On Oct. 5, 1999, Novell unveiled Digitalme, an onlne identity management tool that includes password management, automatic sign-on for the Internet, automatic merchant form fill-in, remote access, and "meCards" which permit a user to provide standard personal information to others. Since any user can have multiple versions of a meCard, a user can control which information is conveyed to particular associates or merchants.
