Create a prototype using Microsoft Access

Refer back to the hands-on exercise for Chapter 4 called Create a pre-defined database using a Microsoft Access wizard. Please do that exercise if you have not already done it.

  1. Assume you wanted to create a prototype of a transaction processing system. Assume the topic of the system was similar to one of the pre-defined topics provided by Microsoft. How could you create a prototype quickly even if some of the fields or tables were different from the fields or tables Microsoft provides?

  2. What would you have to do if the starting points from Microsoft were unrelated to your situation?
