Acquired Intelligence, Inc., provides demos of simple expert systems for whale identification and graduate school admissions screening. Use each of these demos and think about how they probably work internally.

Questions:

1. Based on your impression of how the software works, do your best to state two or three rules that might be included in each of these sample expert systems. (The rules are by no means obvious, but you should be able to guess at what the rules might look like.)

2. To what extent would you trust an expert system such as either of these samples to make an important decision automatically?
