Demonstration of Java applets
Found through the Mining Company's web page: http://java.miningco.com/.
Interesting sample applets include the lake applet, ripple applet, and water applet.
The examples from Instant Java, referenced as animate multiple applet, also have a button for showing the Java code.
- Open the Focus on Java page on the miningco.com site: http://java.miningco.com/. Under "net links" click on "applets." Then click on "selected applets and packages: animation." This takes you to a page where you can try out a lake, ripple, and water applet. What do these applets demonstrate? Explain when and where applets such as these might have value or explain why they don't have real value.
- On the same page click on "animate multiple applet." On this page click on the "animation applets" button and try out some of these applets. View their Java source code. Explain why it should or should not be possible for someone to use these applets without knowing Java.
