Monitors, an Order of Magnitude Better IBM has created a technology that enables a display that is 12 times clearer than those displays commonly seen on desktops. With 200 pixels per inch, the image appears as clear as any photograph. The cost of the display is currently beyond the scope of the typical PC consumer. Until the price drops, such devices will be used primarily in high-resolution imaging applications, such as print publishing, telemedicine, and computer-aided design (CAD).
