E. Variable Key
The variable key allows you to enter a variable name without having to access the ALPHA menu. The variable that is entered is determined by the Graphing MODE setting. When you access
you will see the following menu.
The graphing mode selected will determine the variable entered.

When you are working in the home screen, the graphing mode does not matter for most calculations you will do.
