F. TEST

The TI-83 and the TI-84 will compare two values using one of the relational operators shown in the figure above. The calculator will return a value of 1 if the relation is true and a 0 if the relation is false. The values can be real or complex numbers, expressions, or lists. The equal and not equal operators are the only two that will work with matrices. The operators can be used in programs to control the flow of a program. One of the uses that students in algebra, trigonometry or calculus will find useful is with piece-wise defined graphs.

Compare expressions using the TEST menu.
A value of 1 means the expression is true.
A value of 0 means the expression is false.
