4. Using Mathematical Functions with LISTS

Lists can be used as a single argument is many TI-86 functions with the result being a list. When you use a list as an argument, you must be certain that the function is defined for all elements in the list.

Example: Multiply the elements in the list LSU by 5. Note that the location of the list LSU will depend on whether there are previously defined lists in your calculator. There are three lists that are defaults: fStat, xStat, yStat.
