D. Exponential Functions

When entering exponential functions, you must put parentheses around any exponent that is a product or a rational number. For example, if you enter the function as without using parentheses, the calculator will read the function as . Enter the functions and note the use of parentheses and the resulting entry in the calculator.

	You must put parentheses around the exponent.
	If you leave off the parentheses, the function will appear like this.
	You need parentheses around the entire base.
	You need parentheses around both the numerator, the base in the denominator, and the exponent.
