Compression or Expansion

An ideal gas is contained in a piston-cylinder. The piston and associated masses `weighs' 1200 grams and the gas, whose volume is 27 cm3 exists at 25oC. The piston is held in place artificially until time zero, whereupon the piston moves. Calculate the force the piston exerts (in dynes), and indicate whether the piston rises or falls at time zero.
