W.T. Pfefferle lives and writes in Texas. In addition to Writing That Matters, he co-authored Plug-In: The Guide to Music on the Net, another Prentice Hall text from 1996. He's also published his poetry in literary journals such as Ohio Review, Kansas Quarterly, Mississippi Review, and Georgetown Review.

Teaching since 1985, Pfefferle specializes in freshman comp and American literature. In guitars, he favors the Fender Telecaster. In vodka, he's partial to Finlandia. The only cigar worth smoking is a Zino. In addition to his scholarly life, he's been playing in bar bands for almost twenty years.

Pfefferle's currently at work on two new books, an argument text for freshmen, and an American lit survey.
