Notes to the instructor

This guide provides answers or guidelines for answers to the questions at the end of each chapter of the third edition of UNIX for Programmers and Users by Graham Glass and King Ables.

Answers to all quiz questions are provided. Exercise questions and Project questions will be answered in varying degrees of detail. In some cases, there is no single correct answer or the act of doing the exercise or project is the point. In other cases where program code is to be written, there may be many ways to solve the problem and correct solutions will function as described, but explicit example code is not provided. In these cases, salient points that the student should have considered will be discussed.
