Turn your large lecture halls into active learning environment. Using H-ITT, you get immediate feedback on student progress and 100% participation:
- You ask multiple-choice or True/False questions during class.
- Each student uses a hand-held remote to simply “click” their answer.
- A classroom receiver (portable or mounted) connected to your computer immediately tabulates all answers.
- Results are displayed in histogram form for the class to see.
With just 5-10 questions per class, you can monitor lecture pace and attendance, reinforce course material, conduct Pre-test and Post-test sessions, or simply gather insight on the perceptions of your students. Students are engaged in the learning process and have insight to how well they have mastered the material. Class results can be used as a point of discussion or instantly graded and saved to a grade book.
When you adopt H-ITT you are automatically site licensed for all computers in your institution as well as any personal computers used for class preparation. The complete software package is available for download at the H-ITT website to provide easy-access for new users, as well as, convenient version upgrades for long-time users.
You need an in-class computer (PC or Mac), projector, and a monitor screen large enough for the entire audience to see.
H-ITT receivers, brackets, and cables required for a classroom set up are available at no cost to qualified Pearson adopters. You may opt to install the hardware in the classroom for regular use or keep it portable for smaller courses.
H-ITT transmitters use infra-red technology and are simple and intuitive for students to use. Each clicker features five letter keys (A-E) to conform to standard multiple-choice questions. A programmable “star” key adds additional functionality for advancing to a new question during self-paced testing or indicating a confidence level of a particular answer.
Each transmitter has a unique serial number (embedded in the battery compartment) that identifies the response of each student in class. You will need to order the H-ITT transmitters from your bookstore, as well as, a special textbook + rebate card package (ask your rep for ordering information). |
