Question 1. Name each of the following icons and briefly describe the role that each plays.
- Framework icon: Controls navigation between Pages attached to the framework or Pages attached to other framworks.
- Digital movie icon: Used to play QuickTime and other forms of digital movies.
- Display icon: Presents a single frame of text or graphics to the user.
- Interaction icon: Used to evaluate and respond to some form of input from the user or some existing condition in the file.
- Sound icon: Used to play digital sounds that are loaded into the file.
- Erase icon: Typically used to erase text and graphics in Display, Interaction, and Movie icons, but can also be used to stop other icons that have not finished.
- Wait icon: Places a pause into the lesson flow. The pause lasts until the user presses a key, clicks the mouse, or until some predetermined time has elapsed.
Question 2.
The Design window is where the designer creates the lesson logic. The Presentation window is where the designer places the lesson content. The Presentation window displays the lesson as it will be seen by the end user. To navigate from the Presentation window to the Design window: a. First select Author menus from the Apple pulldown menu.

Next select Jump to Icons from the Try It pulldown menu.

b. Select the Close box in the tool box

c. Select the Close box in the Presentation Window

d. Use the mouse to click on the icon palette in the background.
To navigate from the Design window to the Presentation window:
a. Select Jump to Display from the Try It pulldown menu.
