  • Movie Player 2.1Movie Player 2.1 for Macintosh
MoviePlayer is a utility for playing movies on the Macintosh. Use MoviePlayer to examine movies frame-by-frame, or test whether a movie is playing correctly in a standard environment. For example, you could import MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) files and convert them to the QT 2.0 Music architecture format using MoviePlayer. MoviePlayer also has several new features to analyze frame rate, codecs, track information and so on. (Codecs are the algorithms used to reduce the sizes of graphics and movies. Codecs accomplish this by converting the analog sound or video information at the file creation end and decoding the digital data at the playback end.)

  • ConvertToMovie 1.6ConvertToMovie 1.6
ConvertToMovie converts PICT files into a QuickTime movie. A PICT file is the native graphics format used by the Macintosh Operating System. ConvertToMovie can also convert between various formats. For instance, it can be used to convert convrting movies from PICT and Scrapbook formats.

MovieAnalyzer also displays a graphical representation of the 'playability' of the movie shoing data throughput, the interleave factors and other useful information.

  • DumpsterDumpster
Dumpster allows you to view and edit 'moov' resources using an outline format. This utility is handy for finding out information about a movie and its atoms, or change various atom values directly. For example, you could use MovieAnalyzer to determine whether the 'LOOP' atom is set.
