INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Installation for Windows 95/98/NT 4.0 systems:

1. Download the patch from the internet by "right-clicking" and choosing "Save Target As..."

2. Locate the patch on your computer.

3. Double -click on the "masterworkspatch60402.exe" icon 

4. Choose a location such as the "Desktop" to unzip the patch program and associated files.  

5. Once the masterworks patch contents are un-stuffed.  Open the folder and double click 
on the "masterpatch.exe" icon.

6. Follow any on-screen instructions.

7. Once you receive a message indicating a success, quit the patch program.


Installation for Macintosh systems:

1. Download the patch from the internet.

2. Locate the patch on your computer.

3. Double -click on the "masterworkspatch60402.sea" icon.

4. Once the masterworks patch contents are un-stuffed.  Open the folder and double click on the 
"masterworkspatch" icon.

5. Follow any on-screen instructions.

7. Once you receive a message indicating a success, quit the patch program.

This patch is intended for users of the CD-ROM version of Masterworks.  Some activities do not grade correctly.  
This patch restores the missing files from your installation of the CD-Rom.   Assuming that the install directory
was that of the default setting, this patch will automatically install the missing files into the Masterworks program 
directory.   If you installed to a different directory than the default option.   Then you will need to place the missing
 files into their directories manually.   

If you installed you Masterworks to a directory other than the default this patch will not work properly.  You must 
locate the directory you installed Masterworks to and place the missing files in by hand.   Steps to do that are:

1.  Locate the Masterworks directory of you computer.  On a Mac you can hit "Open Apple" + "f" to launch Sherlock 
or the "find" program.  On a PC you can go to the Start Menu->Search->For Files or Folders.   

2.  Once you have located the Masterworks Directory.  Open up the folder-> Open the "data" folder.  Follow this path 
below for Mac and PC.

3.  Open the data folder that was installed with this patch and find the files corresponding to the directory 
structure of Masterworks program installed from the CD-ROM.   Copy the corresponding files.   

4.  You should have added/replaced a total of 14 files.  In chapter3 and 4 there should be a files called results_ie.html 
and results.html added to the already existing folders multiple6.  In chapter5 and 6 you should have replaced all files 
in the multiple1 directorys.
