What is the PH PTR Magnet Bookstore program?
The Magnet Store program is a cooperative partnership between PTR and our retail booksellers across the country and around the world. The goals for the program are simply defined:
- Cultivate a network of "destination technical bookstores" where customers can be assured of finding the widest selection of PTR titles possible;
- Maximize sales and revenue for participating accounts by driving consumer traffic into those stores through Web exposure, advertising, and incentive programs.
What are the requirements for becoming a Magnet Bookstore?
In order to be recognized as a PH PTR Magnet Store, accounts must agree to:
- Stock 50%* of the PH PTR Never Out of Stock List (200+ titles). The Never Out of Stock List is updated quarterly (March, June, September, December);
- Participate in a minimum of one PH PTR feature program per year;
- Participate in a minimum of four PH PTR in-store or online promotions per year.
What are the benefits of becoming a Magnet Bookstore?
PH PTR will provide the following benefits to participating accounts:
- Life-of-edition plus 90 days return privileges;
- Automatic, exclusive listing under the "Find A Bookstore" search feature on the PH PTR Web site;
- A complete listing on the geographically-segmented Magnet Store Directory found on the "How to Purchase" section of the PH PTR Web site;
- A direct hyperlink from the PH PTR Web site to the account's Web site, if one exists;
- Opportunity to submit for review special "value-added" promotions for PH PTR books which, if approved, will run for free in a highlighted section on the PH PTR Web site home page;
- Mention of the Magnet Store Program as a preferred means of fulfillment on all PH PTR collateral marketing materials (space ads, flyers, catalogs, etc.);
- Inclusion in the ongoing PH PTR Technology Update/Clerk Training Workshop programs for education of in-store personnel (at account's discretion).
