The EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY DATABASE is comprised of 21
different screens. The DATABASE was created to provide users of the
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY TEXTBOOK with immediate access to a
comprehensive source of career information. Though originally designed as
a supplement to the TEXTBOOK, the DATABASE can provide valuable,
readily accessable employment and career information. Five examples of
these screens are available below.

user enters the desired Industry classification after a review of the available
Industry classifications and their associated description.

The second screen depicts employemnt by Occupation and Economic Area.
The user enters the desired Occupation after a review of the available
occupational classifications and their associated descriptions.

The third screen depicts employment in a given Economic Area by
Occupation and Industry. The user enters the desired Economic Area and
Occupation.

The fourth screen provides objective information for each EMPLOYMENT
OPPORTUNITY Occupation. Through the use of information on
Compensation, Supply/Demand, Internalization and Productivity, the
economic profile of each Occupation is depicted.

The fifth screen deviates from the presentation of numerical information to
assist users to identify occupations that are compatible with their needs and
abilities. The DATABASE uses twelve major interest areas, with sixty-six
related workgroups and 348 subgroups related to the workgroups. Depicted is
one major interest area and a single related workgroup and related subgroups.
