THE GUIDE TO MUSIC
ON THE NET
The Website
Hi. Welcome to PLUG IN: The Website, the online companion
to Prentice Hall's Plug In: The Guide to Music on the Net, a book
and CD ROM available nationwide. Ask for it, or just order it here by clicking
on the book!
The book, written by
Ted
M. Gurley and
W.T. Pfefferle,
Ph.D., is a terrific source for fans, musicians, and music professionals
interested in using the vast network of the Internet to help them support
their love of music.
Plug In: The Guide to Music on the Net, is
not just another collection of links.
We focus on the big picture and look at how people are using the Net to
enhance their enjoyment of music. We also narrow the view and discuss the
best sites and lists on the Net and also offer a comprehensive MIDI primer.
For those new to the Net we also cover the basics.
The book is peppered with "Pluggy" cartoons drawn by
Marc
Borms.
Marc lives in Belgium we met him on the Net hanging out
on the blues-l mailing list.
