FOR KIDS
Regardless of whether kids have disabilities, they have the right to still be kids. The following sites will help this happen. Some of the sites are devoted to toys and toy suppliers; others are pages by and for kids with disabilities. Finally, there are also sites that are just fun and have nothing to do with disability. In this last category, all the sites have been deemed "kid safe."

Just for Fun

http://www.kids-space.org - Although Kids' Space bills itself as being for kids 16 years and younger, this site will be most attractive to the 3 to 9 crowd.

http://www.kids-Korner.com - Kids Korner is a listing of suitable sites for children of all ages. All sites have been checked out for quality and appropriateness. New to the site is a pen-pal network.

http://www.yahooligans.com - Created by Yahoo, this site provides information, fun, games, and school help for kids of all ages. Organized like its parent search engine, Yahoo, Yahooligans allows kids in a "kid safe and parent approved" environment to search the Internet according to a variety of categories, such as sports, entertainment, and school.

Toys

http://www.mattelinteractive.com– Mattel Interactive – Includes a wide variety of toys, games, and other products for children. A good site for both teachers and parents.

http://www.dragonflytoys.com – The Dragonfly Toy Company includes toys that are fun and therapeutic.

http://www.nas.com/downsyn/toy.html - Wisconsin First Step offers an on-line annotated listing of toy manufacturers that produce toys for children with special needs. Each company listed has a description of the types of toys available and an address and telephone number parents and teachers can use for contact.
