About us:
Prentice Hall Publishing, as a division of Pearson Education (www.pearson.com),
is the leading higher education publisher in the world. We're proud of our
legacy and have enjoyed being a part of making education happen for 70 years.
We're a $550 million company focused on producing textbooks, websites, CD-ROMs,
custom publishing services, distributed learning alliances, testing programs,
and supplemental education materials in virtually every post-secondary
discipline: Humanities, Social Sciences, Business, Engineering, Science, Math,
Education, Allied Health, Nursing, and Career and Technology programs.
You probably used a Prentice Hall textbook in your studies. Thank you.
Our educational materials and programs set the standards and often break the
rules in this rapidly changing industry. But what sets us apart is not only
our product innovation but our people. Every one of us - whether President,
National Sales Manager, editors, marketing managers, sales managers - started
in the field as a College Field Representative. If you are looking for a
gateway into the publishing world...
Start here:
Being a Prentice Hall College Field Representative is similar to managing a
small company. The field representative is responsible for the sales and
marketing of Prentice Hall products to professors and bookstores in their 2-and 4-year
college/university accounts and proprietary/career schools. In addition, each
College Rep develops and implements territory plans, participates in the
acquisition and development of new products, and serves as the "eyes and ears"
of our editors and marketing managers. Based around the country, our 300
College Field Reps comprise the largest and most competitive field staff in the
industry. There are few opportunities available that offer the diversity of
responsibilities and intellectual challenge that a College Field Rep faces
every day on campus.
If you have a curious mind, are willing to work very hard, have an interest in
higher education and publishing, have an excellent record of achievement in
your college experience (academic and activities), and interest in starting in
publishing sales as an entry to a career in higher ed publishing, then we'd
like you to tell us...
