There are so many things that you can do to reduce your risk of becoming a Crime Victim. Some of the simple ones include:

• Never walk home alone! Too many crimes occur off campus as students are returning to campus. If you can't find a ride home, take a taxi.

• Never leave a party with someone that you just met!

• Always keep track of your friends. Don't leave them alone or allow them to be put in a situation that will be awkward or dangerous.

• Always take your turn at being the designated driver. You owe it to yourself and to your friends.

• If you have to be on campus at night, plan your routes. Stick to the highest traffic areas and best lit paths.
