  • Before you start determine the amount of time you want to spend.

  • Be an active learner - take notes, mark passages, ask questions while studying.

  • Boredom comes from not being actively involved - monitor yourself.

  • Survey your environment - Different environments need different strategies .

  • Before beginning to study, identify and deal with potential distracters.
