Many of the modules have the capability to display graphs or charts
as one of the output options. There are several options that you have when
a graph appears and in this chapter we explain the options.
When a graph is opened then two things will occur. The first is that
the graph will be displayed covering the entire area below the extra data
and the second is that the Main Menu will change. The graph is the only
Window that presents you with a menu different from the standard menu that
is explained in Chapter 3. The graph has its own menu for dealing with
graphing issues. This menu is displayed below and we will present the menu
options in order.
As can be seen above there are three options that appear under the FILE
menu. The graph can be printed or saved or the graph can be exited to return
to the other results windows.
If we select print then the Graph print option screen appears as shown
below.
NOTE: Be sure your printer has the correct settings, especially
under Win 95. The print quality should be sent to fine!
The graph can be printed in two sizes, and printed either as portrait
(8.5 by 11) or landscape (11 by 8.5). Small graphs can be printed at the
top or bottom of the page. The graph can be printed in two styles (try
both and see which you prefer).
Remember, it is also possible to print the graphs from the regular print
menu.
When saving the graph to a file the first three options above are available.
Some of the modules have more than one graph associated with them. For
example, as shown in the figure below two different quality control graphs
are available. The graph to be displayed is chosen using this option.
There are 2 different background colors that may be chosen as well as
creating your own color as shown below.
The window option has its usual use but it also has another as shown
in the figure below. It can be used as usual to display the other output
Windows but it also can be used to enlarge the graph so that it covers
nearly all of the screen. This improves the appearance of many of the graphs.
The last option is the usual help option.
