Workview Office
Student Edition
Schematic Entry and Digital Analysis
R. James Duckworth
The Workview Office Student Edition for Windows provides students and universities with industry's premier design tools for obtaining real world design solutions. Students can now draw and simulate circuit designs on their own personal computer using tools identical to commercial electronic design automation (EDA) tools sold by Viewlogic. The book provides an introduction to the rapidly changing and growing field of computer aided engineering. This is followed by comprehensive tutorials showing how to use the Workview Office tools. Also included are ten class-tested digital logic design laboratory exercises, commencing with simple combinational circuits and progressing to the design of finite state machines.
Using ViewDraw®, students can draw their circuit designs, perform extensive analysis using ViewSim®, and view the signals changing in time with ViewTrace. Students can now spend more time learning about general principles and techniques rather than manually constructing and debugging circuits, while becoming proficient with tools widely used industry.
Also included with this release are the following support products:
- Project Manager-adds, selects, and modifies design projects.
- Library List Editor-modifies the project search path of libraries and directories.
- Navigator for Windows-browses and locates objects (nets, components, pins, etc.) in ViewDraw designs.
- Utilities-prepares, accesses, and generates schematic netlist information.
- Complete set of 74 series digital simulation libraries (Standard, LS, ALS, ACT, etc.) included.
- Comprehensive on-line help and documentation for all the products.
